After leaving the office, please keep the bandage in place for 24 hours. During this time, be sure to keep it dry.
After 24 hours have elapsed, please remove the bandage and gently wash the area with soap and water. Apply a thin layer of either Vaseline or Aquaphor with a cotton-tipped applicator and apply a new bandage.
Repeat this process every 24 hours for 6 days.
Do not swim in a pool, lake or hot tub until the sutures have been removed.
These are normal post procedure symptoms, which should resolve in about three days:
Oozing brown/light yellow exudate (discharge)
Small amounts of blood
Soreness (like a deep bruise)
These symptoms should resolve in about a week:
Numbness/tingling
Itching
These symptoms are not normal:
Severe pain
Excessive bleeding (bright red blood)
Green discharge
